Poster of Fresh Meat

FRESH MEAT:three brand-new One Act plays from two talented freshmen writers.Ethan Karetsky will direct two short plays by Jesse Schreck. The first is “Stages,” in which a family reacts to a terminal diagnosis, sending the mother spiraling—in twenty minutes—through all five stages of grief. In “Writer’s Block” a crotchety elder couple argues as they write a play about their lives, sharing the stage with their melodramatic (and much younger) proxies.Schreck will direct Karetsky’s “Add as Friend (Version 8.1),” which showcases the misadventures of a group of friends struggling to maintain their relationships as technology makes it easier for them to converse, but harder for them to truly communicate.
