Adding Machine: A Musical

by Jason Loewith and Joshua Schmidt

A Senior Project for Melinda Paul

ADDING MACHINE: A MUSICAL tells the story of Mr. Zero, a bookkeeper who is rewarded with a pink slip after 25 years in the same office. Based on Elmer Rice's 1923 play, THE ADDING MACHINE, Jason Loewith and Joshua Schmidt's musical offers excellent roles for men and women, including a strong non-singing role for either a man or a woman.
The show is directed by Theater Studies and American Studies professor Paige McGinley, as the culmination of the Fall 2011 course Modern Drama and Modern Technologies (THST 342).
